Turkey Cookies

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the boys enjoyed making turkey cookies together.  Soren was a bit hesitant at first because of a miscommunication, once everything was cleared up, he was very excited…

Kevin:  “To make the turkey cookies, we are going to have to trace your hands on paper and then cut them out.”

Soren: “No!” (with a very worried look on his face)

Kevin: “What?! I thought you wanted to make turkey cookies?”

Soren takes a few moments to ponder what Kevin is telling him…

Soren: “Oh, do you mean that we are going to cut out the hands on the paper and not the hands that are attached to our arms?”

Kevin: “yes, the hands that we trace on the paper”

Soren: “oh, then yes, I want to make turkey cookies!”

Soren’s Million Dollar Idea

As many of you know, Kevin and I are always scheming for our next million dollar idea. Apparently, this has rubbed off on Soren too.  As we were driving by the landfill today, Soren said he wanted to run and play on the big trash pile. I told him it would be too stinky. Here is his response…

Soren: ”I am going to invent something that is like a glove but it goes on your nose. And I will wear my nose glove and gloves on my hands and my backpack so I can’t smell any of the stinky garbage. Then I will go on the garbage mountain and do some ‘kawassing’”

Me: “What is ‘kawassing’?”

Soren: “’Kawassing’ is when you go get someone’s garbage and bring it back to their house”

Me: “Yuck. I wouldn’t want smelly garbage brought back to my house”

Soren: “It wouldn’t smell because you would have your nose glove on”

Nose Gloves will be on sale at your local Target soon:)

Up All Night

Boodle is officially out of a crib and into a big boy bed...well, maybe not completely, but he is on a mattress on the floor. Anyway, we have moved the boys into a shared room. We even let Soren pick out the paint color for the walls--bright green. The boys were so excited to share a room, we are still waiting for the excitement to wear off. In fact, we are waiting until about 10pm every night waiting for the excitement to wear off. It has been entertaining to say the least, listening to them playing together, aka tearing the room apart. They have been having a great time together, for the most part. There have been a few low points, like tonight when Soren was mad at Bodie so he peed on him! --seriously! But when they finally settle down, it is just too cute for words.

Here are a few of the positions we have found them in...

Glue Tastes Good…Er…I Mean is Fun

Now that the days are getting shorter and colder, we have to find a lot more indoor activities to do.  Luckily, it is early in the season, so art projects are still fun and exciting (just ask us in March when we have glued our millionth popsicle stick.
