A Bad Apple?

As I walk outside I notice our small apple tree is shaking. Is it a bad apple?

A porcupine?

A bear cub?

Nope. Its just Soren hanging out in his new favorite spot!

Next stop?  Probably the the Emergency Department for broken bones…

Halloween Preparations

Much to Soren’s dismay, we were a bit too busy this year to get too in to Halloween decorations, but we did not forgo the Holiday completely.

We got to carve pumpkins..

Decorate the windows…

And even make a pumpkin snowman!…

I can’t go around it. I’ve got to go through it.

Camp 2011 Finale

As much as we hate to close camp for the season, it was time. But we were lucky enough to enjoy one last family weekend and even celebrate Grandma’s Birthday! 

The kids had a great time playing outside but it did get a little chilly after a while so they headed inside for some Halloween Play-doh.

Grandma made some supercool pasta dogs that actually looked a little bit like spiders. Pretty cool dinner idea!

We got to sing Happy Birthday to Grandma!And the kids even helped with the closing of the camp. They were very excited to label the screens. 

Oh, 2011 Camp Season, we will miss you!

Unusual Sleeping Arrangements

Soren and Bodie have been into sleeping on the floor lately. Something I don’t find too odd as I remember always making beds on the floor when I was a kid.  Now, in true Soren fashion, he is taking his sleeping arrangements to a whole new level.

You’ve already seen this one…

Here is one where he insisted on being tucked into a plastic Lego box and resting his head on a storage box. I didn’t think this plan would actually last, but this is what I found several hours after bedtime…

And while I didn’t get a picture of this one, it is worth mentioning. For our last night at camp for the 2011 season, Soren decided he wanted to sleep in the under-the-bed storage box that is on wheels.  And yes, he wheeled the box completely under the bed for extra coziness! 

What can I say, my son is a freak!

Apples, Pumpkins, and Corn Mazes

What would fall be without a trip to Treworgy’s Orchard?!  As you may, or may not know, Treworgy’s is a local farm with apple orchards, pumpkin picking, ice cream, and a corn maze every fall. It is quite the hot spot for families in the greater Bangor Area. And lucky us, live close enough to it to walk (or we would walk if we didn’t have 40lbs worth of pumpkins and 30lbs worth of apples to carry home!) Not only was it a beautiful and mild day, but Kevin was able to take a day off work to join the family (very special these days).  We met up with Aunty Amanda, Robbie, and Robbie’s kids for a day of fun.
