Yes on One

.The kids got a chance to be part of history.  The hot topic for this years vote (in Maine anyway was whether or not same sex marriage should be legal).  My friend Ann had invited us to join a flash mob and I admit, we almost didn’t go. Initially, I thought of all of the excuses: it will be cold, Kevin is working, etc etc.  And then I pulled my head out of my you know where and brought the kids. This is history in the making!  My hope is that when my children are old enough to marry, they will look back at the fact that this question was even being discussed and find it ridiculous—of course you should marry whoever you want.  But I hope they will also remember that there was a fight for these rights and they were a part of the fight for equal rights!
