Future Ghost Hunter

As many of you know, Soren has always been in tune to his surroundings.  He was two when he first told us about “The Estate Mable House”.  At that time, he said that it was a group of very old buildings that people went to stay a long time ago when their house burnt down.  He then proceeded to tell us that his lungs told him that story when he was still in Mommy’s belly.  A little freaky, I mean what two year old even has the word “estate” in their vocab, let alone the rest of the crazy story.  Anyway, as Soren has grown, so have his stories.  After the initial shock of the Estate Mable House, we have grown more accustomed to these odd details her comes up with. But nonetheless, these stories are a big part of Soren so I find it important to document some of them so he can look back at them in the future.  So here is another one…

The conversation started like this…

Soren: I now have two karate masters  (Soren’s karate teacher brought a helper last class that happened to work with my father)

Me: I know. Did you know that he used to work with Papa?

Soren: He did?  I feel so sad that Papa is gone. I wish he were here so I could show him all of the things that I am learning and teach him how to play monkey tag  (I have no idea what monkey tag is).  [insert moment of thought] I think that I need a moment by myself to think about my sadness.  (he then walked into the other room)

A few minutes later

Me: Soren, are you okay?

Soren: Yes. I was just thinking about Papa. Did you know that his energy is still all around us. Because when someone dies, their energy follows us around so they can watch us grow.  Papa’s body is just turned to goo somewhere. But I think he might be recycled into a bucket or something.  Grammie’s energy is all around me too.  I think that when I get older, I want to invent some special glasses so I can see all of Papa’s and Grammie’s energy and they can lead me to where their bodies went.  And then I could see them and talk to them. And then I could see the energy of everyone who has died. I’ll dress up like a ninja so they can’t see me, and I’ll put on those special glasses and watch everyone’s energy.

Okay…so my son is a bit of a freak…

You just can't make that stuff up...he will have to use his gift of creative thought to make his millions (and then share with his dear auntie who will still be sitting on Maple st;)
